ETP is a cold rolled mild steel coil or sheet, coated on both sides with tin by a continuous electrolytic operation, which when flow melted forms a tin iron layer in between the steel base and the lustrous free tin layer.
It is most often used to prevent rust. The primary use of tinplate is the manufacture of tin cans in which foods and numerous other products are packed, as well as for household utensils of various kinds.
